Build your own 'strandbeest'!
'Strandbeesten' are a creation of the Dutch artist Theo Jansen, and you can learn to make them yourself in the Netherlands.
These are self-propelled kinetic structures made from materials including PVC pipes, powered by the wind. During this unique workshop, you will learn to design your own 'strandbeest'! The workshop takes place in the artist's studio in The Hague. In good weather, from May to September, it can also be organized in a beach house.
Note that this workshop is only available in Dutch (not in French or English). The price per person is 58 euros, and the workshop lasts about 4 hours, including lunch. It's suitable for groups of at least 15 and up to 30 people.
