A Kintsugi workshop
A 'Kintsugi' workshop is a cool activity in Antwerp for groups of 10 persons or more and teaches participants to see the beauty in reconstructing something.
Kintsugi is the ancient Japanese art of embracing imperfection, which translates into English as "connecting with gold". It is the art of repairing broken objects with golden glue, so that the repaired items become even more beautiful - not despite, but precisely because of their golden cracks.
Many of us immediately regard something that is broken as waste. But Kintsugi teaches us to see the potential in reconstructing something and to see the value in things that are even damaged. You can do a Kintsugi workshop in Antwerp. A very cool activity that lasts about 2 hours and costs 49 euros per person. Such a workshop is possible with groups of 10 to 500 people.
This workshop can also be organised at a location of your choice. Ideally, for instance, in 'Korokan'. That is a beautiful building in the Japanese Garden in Hasselt. By the way: also a nice place for a tea ceremony or even a meeting!
